
West Ham United vs Chelsea match will start at at 11:00 AM EST today, December 20, 2009. The match will be held at the Boleyn Ground in Upton Park, East London. Mike Dean who is based on Heswall, Wirral will be the referee of the game.
Chelsea enjoys their stay at the top of the league this season. They have an impressive 40 points from 17 games. Manchester United lose their chance to defend their position and move a little bit closer to Chelsea after they were defeated by Fulham yesterday (See results here – Fulham vs Manchester United). Though it was not yet the end of the season, the Blues would love to move far from Manchester United to secure their position.
Chelsea striker Nicolas Sebastien Anelka has injury and will not play today. He will be replaced by Salomon Kalou.
German midfielder Michael Ballack replaces John Mikel Obi as the holding midfielder with Florent Malouda coming in on the left of the diamond.
For West Ham, James Tompkins will be replaced by Matthew Upson in central defense.
