It was a very slow start. United States and Switzerland’s Olympic Men’s Hockey Team were not able to score in the first and second period of the quarterfinal game on Wednesday, February 24. Then, finally, US Team started the fire in the third period.

Alternate captain of New Jersey Devils, Zachary America Parise, dominated in the quarterfinal game against Swiss. He tipped a Rafalski shot past a diving Swiss goalkeeper, Jonas Hiller, and scored at 2:08 in the third period. His power-play goal broke the long silence and pressure in the game.
