Toyota Recalled Vehicles: Pedal And Floor Mat Recalls, Is Your Vehicle Affected?

toyota-recalled-vehicles-pedal-and-floor-mat-recalls-is-your-vehicle-affectedToyota had announced recalls of over 5 million U.S. vehicles on January 28 for pedal and floor mat entrapment and over 2 million vehicles for the “sticking accelerator pedal” problem and the next day widened the recall to include 2 million vehicles in Europe and over 700,000 vehicles in China. Other countries that are not specified by Toyota are not affected in this recall.

  • 2008-2010 Sequoia
  • 2005-2010 Tacoma
  • 2007-2010 Tundra
  • 2009-2010 VENZA

TOYOTA MODELS NOT AFFECTED BY PEDAL/FLOOR MAT RECALLS

  • Sienna
  • 2010 Prius
  • Camry, RAV4, Corolla and Highlander vehicles with VINs that begin with “J”
  • FJ Cruiser
  • 4Runner
  • Highlander hybrids and Camry hybrids
  • Land Cruiser
  • Solara
  • Yaris

If your vehicle is affected by either of this recall (pedal/floor mat problem), you will receive a mail notification from Toyota which will serve as “go-signal” that the recall remedy for your vehicle is available and all you need to do is go to an authorized Toyota dealer. For “accelerator pedal” problem, the shape of the floor surface underneath will be reconfigured to widen the space between the floor and the accelerator pedal. This will or call Toyota Customer Experience Center at 800-331-4331. The hotline is available from Monday to Friday at 5 to 6:00 pm (PST) and every Saturday at 7 to 4:00 pm (PST) only.

General manager of Graham Automall, Ken Williams, said that they will notify local customers through mail and they will handle both recalls at Graham, 1515 W. Fourth St. According to Mansfield News Journal, the company started building the part to repair the recall and they’re making 200,000 a day since Saturday.
