The American country pop singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift, has a new hairdo – straight hair with bangs blown to one side!
Before she turns 20 on Sunday, December 13, she showed off her sleek new hairdo while getting treats in NYC on Wednesday evening. She said on her Twitter account that she wandered around the candy store, peer into the ice cream windows of Baskin Robbins, and have a dinner at Otto restaurant in New York City with actress Emma Stone.

I like her with straight hair better i think it makes her look more sophisticated and cool. The curly hair made me think she was still 15.
I looked at the video that Jasmine posted the link to above and there was a picture that looked like the girl in the ad on top but the others looked more like her. There’s actually another video that shows better pictures and she looks so gorgeous. When she’s curly I like it more tamed when it’s curled but she’s a doll no matter what.

I like the hairstyle, truly. But she doesn’t look like Taylor Swift anymore… her bouncy curls were how I immediately identified her. Now that her hair is sleek and straight, she looks… generic. No longer unique. The fact that she rocked her curly hair so well and made curly hair popular again was the mark of an awesome trendsetter. But now the trendsetter is following the trend of pin-straight hair. All I can ask is, who will young women look to now to inspire them with new ideas? Is Taylor’s new do enough to make her a conformer, and thus takes her out of the spotlight?
