Swansea Striker Besian Idrizaj Died In Sleep

Besian-Idrizaj-DiedAustrian striker, Besian Idrizaj, died in sleep on Saturday, May 15, 2010, while he was with his family in Austria, according to Swansea’s official website. He died two weeks after the end of the Championship campaign at the age of 22.

The exact cause of death has not been confirmed but it was believed that he have suffered heart attack while he’s sleeping.

Idrizaj is a former Blackburn Rovers player. After being part of Blackburn Rovers’ reserve team from July-August 2009, he transferred to Swansea City on August 22. Swans boss Paulo Sousa was impressed with Idrizaj during training. Sousa believed that he will be a good addition to the team. Idrizaj had one year remaining on his contract with Swans.
