The American baseball analyst and former general manager of the New York Mets, Steve Phillips, has been fired by ESPN network on Sunday, October 25, 2009, after he admitted last Wednesday that he had a sexual relationship with the network’s remote game production assistant named Brooke Hundley.
“Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN. His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways”

In this statement, it is clear that ESPN network fired him because he is creating a disgrace in the company. He is such an embarrasment to the network and you can’t blame the network of kicking him out because the sex scandal with his younger office mate became the major buzz in and outside the country.
After the affair became public, Phillips take a leave. Phillips’ representative Steve Lefkowitz stated in an e-mail that Phillips is entering a treatment facility to address his personal issues. He entered a rehab for treatment on Monday. Lefkowitz explained that he’s doing this to save their marriage.
WHAT HAPPENED TO BROOKE HUNDLEY ?
October 26, 2009 - Many people asked what happened to Brooke Hundley after Phillips’ was terminated by ESPN last Sunday. Now, it is already confirmed that ESPN also fired Hundley. Krulewitz have announced that Hundley was no longer working for ESPN because she was fired today.
Brooke Hundley, who graduated from Ithaca College, entered the network last September 2008 and was terminated today because of the scandal. She said that ESPN officials already knows about the philandering Steve Phillips but her complaints were ignored and she said that one of her supervisor told her to get used to it. The network was asked if it is true that they knows about it , but Krulewitz declined to comment.
Before Hundley was fired today, she was seen last Friday leaving her apartment in Connecticut. She was asked about the scandal but she did say anything about this issue.
