Sandra Bullock won the 2010 Academy Awards for Best Actress category. She beats three-time Golden Globe winner and four-time Emmy Award winner Helen Mirren for “The Last Station” film, 2009 BAFTA’s Best Actress winner Carey Mulligan for “An Education,” Gabourey Sidibe for “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire,” and record-breaker Meryl Streep having 17 Oscar nominations and this time with “Julie and Julia.”
Sandra’s role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in “The Blind Side” had given her too many praises and has given her the Golden Globe, SAG, and Oscars’ “Best Actress” awards.
Sandra started her acceptance sppech by a question – “Did I really earn this, or did I just wear you all down?” and then declared her love for fellow nominees. She called Meryl Streep as a good kisser. She illustrated Gabourey Sidibe as exquisite beyond words. “I feel like we are family,” she told to Helen Mirren while admitting that Carey Mulligan’s grace, elegance, beauty and talent make her sick. She then thanked everyone who had shown her kindness and everyone who was mean to her, mentioning George Clooney who once threw her into a pool. Then tears began to fall as she thanked her mother for not letting her ride in cars with boys until she was 18.”
Sandra wore a splendid Marchesa’s silvery-gold gown with lace on top. Her plain and simple hairstyle make her look elegant.
