Paranormal Activity Still Tops The US Box Office

Paranormal Activity tops the US Box Office for three weeks. The film which was released by October 16, 2009 have already accumulated $61,580,588 dumping Saw VI in the second spot. The movie was widely distributed by Paramount Pictures and Dreamworkd Pictures and it is open to over 1900 US theaters.

Paranormal activity is mock documentary film premiered on October 14, 2007 at Screamfest Film Festival and was shown on January 18, 2008 at the Slamdance Film Festival. This film was directed by Oren Peli and produced by Steven Schneider and Jason Blum. Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat are the main cast in this film. Katie was first seen in 2006 film “Mutation.”

The film is all about a young couple who experienced a paranormal activity inside their house. Micah bought a video camera to capture unusual activities happening inside their house most especially while they were sleeping. Katie is said to be haunted by a ghost and followed her in their two-story house in San Diego California. Dr. Fredrichs, a psychic, have evaluated the house and said that they were being plagued by demons. This psychic suggested to consult the issue to Dr. Abrams, a demonologist.
