The super fight between Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather is said to be set next year [2010], 13th of March. After Floyd Mayweather agreed in the contract terms in fighting the current Pound for Pound fighter, still he needs the approval and consider the hectic schedule of the current “Pound for Pound” king, Manny Pacquiao.
Freddie Roach said that this is a very fast turnaround for them. Its just 4 weeks when they fought the former welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. Manny Pacquiao finished the fight with a late referee stoppage but his eardrum (right) was damaged and he needs more time to recover.
Fighting Floyd Mayweather is a different story, a different boxer and much better defensive fighter. Manny Pacquiao should be in better shape against Mayweather because if not, this will lead to a one lopsided fight that will favor Floyd. Until now there’s no announcement from Pacquiao’s team whether they agree with the date. Bob Arum has visited Philippines to informed Pacquiao about Floyd’s camp decision.
If you will take a look and consider Pacquiao’s schedule in 2010, this fight between Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather may be scheduled next year but not this March 13, 2010 or first half of 2010.
