President Barack Obama together with his family are going to spend the weekend to a national park on Maine coast.

According to Rep. Rochelle Pingree, member of U.S. House of Representatives for Maine’s 1st District, the Obamas are spending a three-day vacation from July 16-18 on Mount Desert Island, which is closely off the Maine coast. Obama is first sitting president to visit the island since William Howard Taft a century ago.

On the first day (July 16), the Obamas will fly to Bar Harbor, Maine and they will visit Acadia National Park, which is home to some 40 different species of mammalian wildlife. The president’s daughter – Malia and Sasha will surely enjoy cobblestone beaches and glacier-carved mountains rising from the sea.

To all residents and tourists who plans to visit Acadia National Park this weekend you don’t have to worry because Maine Park officials announced that the park will remain open during President Obama’s visit but they said that there could be delays and detours.
