ALL-STARS: PRO BOWL ROSTERS
According to the Associated Press, about 40% of players selected to play in tonight’s Pro Bowl will not be there. So it’s like an all-star game without many all-stars. Of course injured payers will be out together with 14 players from New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts. New England quarterback Tom Brady, San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers, New England wide receiver Wes Welker, Houston outside linebacker Brian Cushing, Buffalo free safety Jairus Byrd, and Miami tackle Jake Long are all injured and will not play for AFC. Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre, St. Louis running back Steven Jackson, Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Minnesota wide receiver Sidney Rice, Dallas center Andre Gurode, Minnesota interior lineman Kevin Williams, San Francisco inside-middle linebacker Patrick Willis, Chicago outside linebacker Lance Briggs, Greenbay cornerback Charles Woodson, Arizona cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Minnesota kick-return specialist Percy Harvin are all injured and will not play for NFC.
Aside from injured players, Minnesota offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie was dismissed from Pro Bowl. He was booted off the NFC Pro Bowl roster after missing practices on Friday and Saturday with unexcused absences. And because he was out, David Diehl of the New York Giants and Philadelphia’s Jason Peters will replace him and will be playing the entire game.
