New Moon original motion picture soundtrack was just released last Friday, October 16, 2009. The official music for 2009 film “New Moon” debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 115,000 copies this week. It is believed to go to the top 1 spot by the end of the week.
The score for New Moon is being composed by a film composer, Alexandre Michel Gerard Desplat, while the rest of the soundtrack was chosen by American music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas.

Little-known singers or group of musicians on New Moon soundtracks are becoming popular because of this film mania. Now that the album may sell 100,000 to 120,000 copies by week’s end on Sunday night, it is a big opportunity for them to be heard by millions of “New Moon” fans. One of them is a singer and songwriter from San Diego California named Anya Marina who sang “Satellite Heart.” The song “Satellite Heart” is an interpretation of Bella’s heartbreak.
