PASADENA, CALIFORNIA – The 2010 Rose Queen has been announced. Among 1, 143 lovely ladies, Natalie Innocenzi was named as the 92nd Rose Queen. The announcement was held at the Tournament House at 9:30 AM yesterday, October 21, 2009. 2009 Rose Queen Courtney Chou Lee pinned a “Queen Natalie” badge onto Innocenzi’s red jacket.
Natalie was shocked on the announcement. She can’t believe that she had won the title. She said that being part of the Royal Court is already an achievement but when her name was announced as the 92nd Rose Queen she was very happy because it was really a dream come true for her. Her father, Robert Innocenzi, and her mother, Jeannette Innocenzi, were so proud to their daughter.
Natalie Innocenzi is 16 years old and senior at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Canada Flintridge. She is captain of the junior varsity tennis team, board member of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Teens, and president of the campus’ Amnesty International Club.
The six princesses of the Royal Court who will join Natalie on the 121st Rose Parade with a theme “A Cut Above the Rest,” 96th Rose Bowl game January 1, and over 150 events in 2010, are Katherine Hernandez from Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, June Ko from Arcadia High School, Lauren Rogers from Blair High School, Kinsey Stuart from Pasadena City College, Ashley Thaxton from John Marshall Fundamental High School,and Michelle Van Wyk from La Ca ada High School.
2010 Rose Queen Natalie Innocenzi will officially receive her Mikimoto crown from Tournament of Roses Acting President Jeff Throop at the Coronation Ceremony on November 4, 2009 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
