Michael Jackson’s stunning rhinestone-studded white gloves was auctioned yesterday at the Hard Rock Cafe Times Square in New York held by Los Angeles-based Julien’s Auctions. The glove which the “King of Pop” wore in 1983 when he premiered his trademark moonwalk dance is worth $350,000 plus tax.

Hoffman Ma from Hong Kong,  the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ponte 16, is the winning bidder who will pay a total of $420,000 which includes tax and other fees.

Aside from the gloves, Jackson’s jacket that he wore on his “Bad World Tour” in 1989 and a fedora that he wore for the moonwalk was also auctioned. The jacket fetched $225,000 which is 20 times its low estimate of $8,000 while the fedora sold for $22,000.
