Wayne Rooney, the striker of English Premier League club Manchester United, is now a father after his wife Coleen Mary has given birth to a baby boy which they named Kai Wayne Rooney. This is why Wayne didn’t show up in their training session today in preparation for their game against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.
Kai Wayne Rooney was born at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital at 2:20 PM GMT. Even though Coleen was nine days overdue, she with her son are both fine. They expected the baby to come out last month, October 24, which is Wayne’s birthday but the baby just came today, November 2, 2009.
The couple grew up in Croxteth area of Liverpool and now lives in a £3.5 million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire. They really love Liverpool area that’s why they returned to the city for the birth of their first baby. Liverpool Women’s Hospital is said to be one of the leading maternity hospitals in Europe and you can see how the couple really prepared for this day.
According to Sky News, Coleen have turned down a £1m deal with OK because she doesn’t want her baby pictures to be publicly released in magazines, in newspapers, or to be broadcast in television.
People might be wondering why they named their son Kai but the couple have not given their statements yet behind their son’s name. But if you’ll check the meaning of this name, Kai is a baby boy name. It is said that it comes from the Welsh origin which means “keeper of the keys.” It is also said to be a Hawaiian unisex name which means “ocean.”
Baby Kai is expected to be a great soccer player of England someday like his dad.
