Israeli soldiers killed six Palestinians on Saturday, December 26, 2009. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that they have killed three wanted Palestinians in the West Bank city of Nablus early Saturday morning. The three Palestinians were responsible for the death of Israeli settler named Meir Avshalom Hai in a roadside ambush on Thursday night. Israeli soldiers said that they were associated with Abbas’ Fatah movement.
Maj. Gen. Avi Mizrachi of the IDF said that they’ve found four guns at the place where one of the suspects were killed. He also added that they will do their best to protect the citizen of Israel and will give justice to the Israeli victims.
In the Gaza Strip, three young men approaching Israel’s southern border were killed in an Israeli airstrike. Israel military forces believed that those three men attempted terrorist attack because they keep moving along the Palestinian side of the border fence even they fired warning shots.
According to CNN, the Israeli soldiers could not confirm whether the three men that they’ve killed in Gaza carry explosives or weapons and they could not give clear details as to what evidence they had against the other three men they’ve killed in West Bank.
