THE 2010 GRAMMY AWARDS PERFORMERS
Grammy awards 2010 has a very outstanding opening number. Lady Gaga was singing “Poker Face” her second single from her debut album “Fame.” What makes it more thrilling is that she disappeared in the stage and then as the light turns back on, she appeared together with Elton John. The highly anticipated duet of Gaga’s smash single “Speechless.” She performed the medley of John’s 1970s song – “Your Song.”
Aside from Lady Gaga and Elton John, high-end keyboardist Leon Russell and Zac Brown Band were also present. Zac Brown opened with a rendition of a patritotic song – “America the Beautiful” before Russell appeared. Russell hammered away at the piano as Brown and his band played “Chicken Fried,” their first number-one hit on the Billboard country charts.
Taylor Swift performed her new song “Today Was A Fairytale, which is a promotional single from the Valentine’s Day soundtrack. The audience were surprised when “The Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll,” Stevie Nicks, joined her on stage halfway through her performance.
The Michael Jackson Tribute is considered to be the highlight of the Grammy Awards. Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, and Usher performed Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song” in front of a special never-before-seen 3-D mini movie that was designed for Jackson’s “This Is It” tour. Janet Jackson went on stage with his brother’s children – Prince Michael and Paris. The children accept their father’s “lifetime Achievement Award.” They both wore black suits with red armbands on their trousers. Prince had a wonderful speech and it’s all about love.He promised to continue spreading his father’s message and helping the world. Truly amazing tribute. The “King of Pop” is dead but his memory still lives on.

Other performers include Black Eyed Peas, Pink, Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Jamie Foxx, T-Pain, Slash, Doug E. Fresh, Bon Jovi, Drake, Eminem, Maxwell, Lil Wayne, David Foster, Mary J. Blige, andrea Bocelli, Dave Matthews Band, Jeff Beck, Imelda May, Jennifer Nettles, Roberta Flack, Beyonce and Alanis Morisette.
