WHEN IS THE 2009 DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME?
Daylight Saving Time or DST in most areas across the United States and Canada begins at 2 AM on second Sunday of March and DST reverts or will end on November 1, 2009 at 2 AM. The clocks will shift back from 2:00 AM to 1:00 AM. So that means tomorrow, you will have an extra one hour sleep.
In the US, people leaving in Arizona except the Navajo Nation Community, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, The Virgin Islands are not affected with DST. Therefore, New York, California, North Dakota, Connecticut, Delaware, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Indiana, Maine, and other states will have to set their clock one hour back.
In Canada, people leaving in some areas of Quebec like in Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and Southampton Island are exceptions to the DST.
DST in United States and Canada will resume on March 14, 2010 and will end on November 7, 2010.
