CZECH REPUBLIC VS LATVIA LIVE UPDATES
Czech Republic currently on the second place in Group B with just one point difference from Russia. They have 2 wins and only 1 loss while Latvia is struggling in the standings with no wins at all.
Tomas Rolinek, who is currently playing for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, starts the game with a power play goal at 5:52. This was followed by another goal coming from winger Tomas Fleischmann at 11:06, also in the first period.
Both teams have great defense during the second period. Latvia was able to stop the Czech’s momentum and at 12:02 in the third period, left winger Martins Cipulis contributed a goal giving his team a chance to even the score. Mikelis Redlihs, a Dinamo Riga player, tied the score, 2-2, with three minutes and 81 seconds left in the last period. Redlihs brought his team to the overtime period.
Czech’s center David Krejci, who plays for Boston Bruins of the NHL, saves his team and scored at 5:10 in the overtime period.
