Corey Haim Died From Drug Overdose

corey-haim-dead-at-38Former teen idol Corey Haim, who rose to fame in 1980′s “Dream a Little Dream,” “License to Drive,” “Lucas,” “Murphy’s Romance,” and “The Lost Boys” died at the age of 38. Haim was pronounced dead at 2:15 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Burbank’s Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in California.

He died from an apparent overdose and according to LA County Coroner’s Office Assistant Chief, Ed Winter, they found four prescription drug bottles inside the apartment he shared with his mother, but they make it clear to the reporters that there were no illegal drugs. Winter said that an autopsy will determine the cause of his death.

Though Corey Haim’s career declined in 1997, he made a comeback in 2000. He spent time in rehabilitation center and finally overcome his drug habit. In 2006, he got a big project and that is the reality tv show called “The Two Coreys” with Corey Feldman, who played the role of Edgar Frog in “The Lost Boys.” The show premiered on A&E Network. He also appeared in “Crank 2″ as Randy, the action/thriller film sequel of 2006 film – “Crank,” with Jason Statham as the lead actor.
