P.S. Boxing WAS exciting when the greatest fighter of all time stepped into the ring. i refer of course to the peerless, awesome , Iron Mike Tyson. He came to fight. Yes, he possessed great ‘boxing” skills but his approach rarely let a fight go on for very long ’cause real fights don’t last long. If they go on and on, you can be sure neither participant is really fighting ‘cause if one of them was, the fight would be over—and that was the way Iron Mike handled it. His fights ended in record time ‘cause he respected nobody and everyone, rightfully, feared him ‘cause he was a human wrecking ball. His attitude, translated into text, would be something like: “I’m gonna use all I got to tear your head off. If you happen to get lucky an’ catch me—who cares? ‘cause I sure don’t. It probably ain’t gonna happen anyway an’ I’ma go home with millions for a few minutes work”. And that’s the way it usually went except that Mike, despite his ferocity versus other pro boxers, was no match for a crazy b—h like Robin Givens. Once he became tangled in the mess she helped him make of his life, he lost to 42-1 underdog Buster Douglas, creating the biggest upset in fight history.

Mayweather v Pacquiao? BFD if you’re a real fight fan. 2 small guys flailing at one another with big puffy gloves. I can tell you what will happen. Pac-Man will attempt to engage Mouthrunner who will implement his track meet strategy and use his speed to jab at Pac-Man thereby registering a higher ratio of punches landed to punches thrown. The judges will be completely oblivious to Pac-Man’s aggression, ring control, etc. and CompuBox will again decide the “winner” as we mere mortals will see 2 sweaty but unblemished chaps neither of whom will look as though they’ve been in a fight—’cause really, they haven’t (unless you deem a pillow “fight” as an actual brawl as well—Gollynads, I wanna yawn just thinking about it zzzzzzzzzzzzzz). If you want to see a real fight, be really entertained and even excited as you view, tune in to an MMA event with a decent fight card. Watch Machida-Rua II or GSP-Hardy or Carwin-Mir or anybody versus Lesnar, Anderson Silva, BJ Penn, Wanderlei Silva, Clay Guida and many other Mixed Martial Artists who rev fan blood pressure.

Pacquaio seems legit when he speaks of the weakness he got from blood testing. Mayweather sounds like a slickster whenever he opens his mouth. All of the analysts and their opinions, but it comes down to “who to believe?” I believe Pacquaio.
