“As evidence surfaces, we find out that reported results from election night were far from accurate. ACORN and the unions did their best to try and sway the results to Obamacare supporter Bill Owens.”
Doug Hoffman, Conservative Party Representative
Doug Hoffman believes that there are something wrong with the election result for the New York 23rd Congressional District race that he wanted to revoke his statement of concession. After seeing the recanvassing results, he allegedly said that votes fraud exist during the said election. But the Jefferson County Republican elections commissioner disagreed with Hoffman’s allegations.
If you’ll remember, Hoffman was down by 5,335 votes with 93 percent of the vote counted on election night. He conceded on that day and Democratic Representative Bill Owens quickly sworn into office on Friday. But a recanvassing showed that there are some corrections of clerical errors. It was revealed that Owens got 3,026 votes over Hoffman, 66,698 to 63,672. This figures are based on the latest unofficial results from the state Board of Elections.
Owen leads by 2,832 votes with only 4,262 absentee ballots left from Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties. Therefore, Hoffman needs to earn 80 percent of the outstanding absentee ballots in order to win.
