A 7-year-old girl in Detroit, Michigan named Aiyana Jones was killed during a police raid on Sunday morning. It was said that Detroit police were hunting the murderer of Jarean Blake, 17-year old student who died last week. The authorities found the murderer inside the house where Aiyana Jones was sleeping. According to them, they executed a search warrant and announced themselves as police. The 34-year old murderer was inside the house but the police was blocked by a 46 year-old female (The police department haven’t released the name). Then, Aiyana was shot in the head area and died in an instant.
Aiyana’s father named Charles Jones was interviewed by CNN and he said that the Detroit police came while Aiyana was sleeping. He also said that they threw flash grenades and shot his baby Aiyana. Jones also claimed that the suspect that the police were looking for was not in the house. He said that the police had the wrong house. The officials did not denied that they threw flash bangs. They said that this is for the purpose of temporarily disorienting the people inside the house so that they can control the situation. The police also said that they have arrested the suspect at that place.
This case was being investigated and carefully reviewed to know whether Aiyana died acccidentally or she died because of police negligence.
