AC Milan turns its focus back to Serie A after a 4-0 loss to Manchester United last night at Old Trafford stadium. It was considered as Milan’s most humiliating defeat in Europe since the 4-0 defeat by Deportivo La Coruna in the 2004 quarterfinals.
According to Fox Sports, Italy’s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, shut off his television after United’s striker Wayne Rooney took his second goal with few minutes left before the second half. AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani was angry because of the big humiliation the team have brought to their country. He have also spoken to Leonardo and the players to refocus on the league.
AC Milan is preparing for their home game against Chievo on Sunday and according to a recent interview, the team’s disastrous Champions League game won’t affect their performance on their next game. The team just needs to have some adjustments because Daniele Bonera and Alessandro Nesta were among the injured players who will be out on Chievo’s game.
