This is a story of Angela Wileman Enniscorthy, a British mother who fled to different countries just to protect her son from being taken away by Devon social workers. It was two years of historic battle with this British social service. It all began when she sought for help for her alcoholic husband who started doing violent things on her. They have monitored the family since then and she was accused by this social workers of emotionally harming his son Lucas. So how she was accused by emotionally harming her son? The said social workers said that she allowed her husband to shout at her and because of this, they need to take her son and be handed to foster parents. Angela said that her son never saw his father doing violent things on her. She also said that her son doesn’t know anything about his father’s behaviour. Added to this, she said that her son is just two years old at that time and not capable of remembering all the things that have happened. They took his sons away from her.
She thought building the family would bring her son back so she started seeing her husband again. Her husband was put in medication for his alcohol problem. And then she got pregnant and Lucas was was five at that time. But building the family with her alcoholic husband didn’t work. She was even threatened that her second baby will be taken away from her as well. She was so afraid so she went to Spain and there she lived with her son. In Soain, she gave brith to her second son named Marco. Devon social workers tracked them after she registered Lucas in Spanish school. They issued a court order to give Lucas back to their custody. She didn’t want that to happened because she knows that her son is not really happy and she was fighting for her right as a mother. She was accused as abducting her own child so she secretly moved to Sweden but at that time she doesn’t have enough money to sustain their living because she can’t have a job for she can’t speak Swedish. She then moved to Ireland. She was so thankful to Irish authorities who played an important role in her case. She finally found justice and she doesn’t have to hide her children.
