Nokia 3310 4G powered by YunOS is Official now

HMD Global has launched the Nokia 3310 4G in China and it's expected to get a global launch at MWC 2018. Compared to 16MB storage available on its original 2G version, the 4G variant has 256MB of RAM and 512MB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).

We obviously can't be certain this will go global at MWC 2018 in late February, but the unlikely revival of the hugely successful 2000 "dumb phone" began with a surprisingly entertaining announcement at the previous MWC trade show. While it looks the same as the first revamped Nokia 3310, the company has replaced the previous Java-based operating system in favor of YunOS which is a forked version of Android developed by Alibaba.

Both, the Nokia 3310 4G and the JioPhone comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display running at 320×240 pixels.

The smartphone also comes with a preloaded MP3 player. Up front, the smartphone from Nokia makes use of a No selfie camera.

Quiksilver CEO missing after his empty boat washes up on French beach
According to the World Surf League, Agnes left Capbreton Harbor at 7.30am on Tuesday and his boat was found two hours later. His disappearance caused consternation in the surfing community around the world.

The Nokia 3310 4G variant will support 4G TD-LTE with VOLTE and Micro USB interface. As far as Nokia 3310 4G is concerned, users can not get any of these apps. The phone sports a 2 MP rear camera accompanied with LED flash. In design aspect, the phone looks same as the original Nokia 3310 which was launched at MWC past year. There's no info on the processor used by HMD to power the phone, but it might be a dual-core processor.

With a removable 1200mAh battery pack, HMD is touting a 12 days of 4G standby battery life for the 3310.

Perhaps we'll hear more about the 3310 4G at next month's Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show, where - in addition to 3310 news - we were promised to see something "awesome".

The Nokia 3310 4G, which was earlier expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, has been silently launched in China and comes with support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot.
