Red Sparrow Teaser Poster Spotlights Jennifer Lawrence As A Spy

"Red Sparrow" was produced by Peter Chernin, Steve Zaillian, and Jenno Topping, the film itself will hit theaters on March 2, 2018. However, with this recent trailer focusing on Jennifer Lawrence's character, Dominika Egorova, let's see if this is something we're interested in beyond the obvious similarity to our favorite Marvel spy.

Red Sparrow stars Jennifer Lawrence (as Dominika Egorova), Joel Edgerton (as Nathaniel Nash, the American agent), Matthias Schoenaerts (as Vanya Egorov), Charlotte Rampling (as one of the Sparrow School's instructors), Mary-Louise Parker (as Stephanie Boucher), and Jeremy Irons (as Korchnoi).

The movie looks far more brutal than I previously expected, and I like the look Francis Lawrence is going for. A secretive Russian intelligence agency exploits Dominika's dire situation, pressing her into service.

"Red Sparrow" is based on the book by the same name by Jason Matthews.

On Twitter, Trump insisted that he was a " very stable genius " in defense of some critics speculating about his mental health. He urged his followers to "watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!"

Despite drawing instant comparisons to Black Widow and last year's Atomic Blonde, Red Sparrow is its own demon.

Dominika endures a perverse and sadistic training process, and emerges as the most risky, seductive and manipulative Sparrow the program has ever produced. But soon she soon must reconcile the person she was and the power she now commands with everything she cares about at risk - including an American CIA agent (Edgerton) who tries to convince her he is the only person she can trust. Nash gives her the option to deflect from what she never wanted to be. Then she finds herself in a life-threatening situation where she must call upon all she has learned.

Just because Red Sparrow follows the recent trend of female-led action movies, audiences are quick to compare them against each other - something that isn't usually done for the millions of similar male action movies.
