Michael Douglas Accused of Sexual Harassment by Journalist Susan Braudy

Michael Douglas' accuser Susan Braudy spoke out about her sexual misconduct allegations against the two-time Oscar victor on Friday's episode of Today. Braudy says Douglas asked her to sign a confidentiality agreement, which she took as a sign that he "was preparing to fire me". She was hired to run the NY office of Stonebridge Productions, a production company launched by Douglas.

Braudy claims that she spoke up and repeatedly complained to the actor about his behavior and that people warned her against telling others.

Douglas "slid down the floor, unbuckled his belt and put his hand inside his pants and I could see what he was doing", Braudy told NBC.

"At no time then did she express or display even the slightest feeling of discomfort working in our environment, or with me personally", he said.

Journalist and author Susan Braudy has come forth with allegations of sexual harassment against Michael Douglas. She says that Douglas chased her to the elevator while zipping his trousers and telling her, "Hey, thank you, you're good". A woman named Susan Braudy shared this account with The Hollywood Reporter: "Michael unzipped his chinos and I registered something amiss", she wrote.

Douglas' agent and publicist didn't immediately respond to email and phone messages seeking comment.

In his preemptive denial to Deadline on January 9, Douglas said, "I'm bewildered why, after 32 years, this is coming out, now".

Douglas, 73, denies Braudy's allegations.

Flu-related deaths this season reach 142 in San Diego County
The spread of the flu has led to an increase in hospitalizations by 215, which is an 80 percent increase from the previous week. Public Health Department spokesman John Ricci said "it is hard if not impossible" to pinpoint when flu season will peak.

Braudy also claims that Douglas used vulgar language, made inappropriate jokes, and commented on her body.

Douglas denied the allegations through his lawyer in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, calling Braudy's masturbation claim "an unfortunate and complete fabrication ..." I bet she screams in the sack.' I protested, 'Please, don't talk like that.

In her first interview, Braudy revealed that she bolted from Douglas' apartment after the masturbating incident in tears.

'That rung is something I've only heard about the a year ago.

During that time, she says he was a bad boss who made demeaning comments about her looks and constantly used "sexually charged dialogue". "And I was very scared". I realized he thought he could do anything he wanted because he was so much more powerful than I was, ' she recalled. Michael ran barefoot after me to the elevator, zipping his fly and buckling his belt, saying "Hey, thank you, you're good". "She supposedly had three friends who would back her up, that she had mentioned this to". Six months later, she was sacked.

Douglas admitted to using "colorful language", in front of Braudy, but said, "none of it was directed at her".

"It has caused tremendous stress to me for something I believe I have nothing to regret or feel responsible for".

During Douglas' interview, he suggested that Braudy had held a grudge against him and may have been "disgruntled" over her career. But in a written account of the incident for The Hollywood Reporter, Braudy said she was too intimidated to follow through with a complaint.
