For the fourth consecutive year, the league's annual showcase of premier young talent during NBA All-Star will pit 10 first- and second-year NBA players from the US against 10 first- and second-year NBA players from around the world. National Basketball Association assistant coaches were again responsible for selecting the players to compete in the Rising Stars event this year. They were also required to vote for a minimum of three rookies and three sophomores for each team.

"It's an honor to be a part of All-Star weekend and to participate in something like that", Saric said.

National Basketball Association opening-night rosters for the 2017-18 season featured 108 global players from a record 42 countries and territories.
