It's not clear exactly what he was doing in Miami last night, but a cell phone video shows how his night ended: Handcuffed against a Miami police auto and demanding to know why he's under arrest.
According to the Miami Police Department, Buress was arrested for disorderly intoxication at 10:30 PM. It's just the latest in a long line of unfavorable videos that have been made public of police officers getting into it with supposedly innocent bystanders, especially if they belong to a minority group. Buress, who is handcuffed and leaning against the cops' vehicle can be seen with two cops standing right in front of him as he repeatedly yells, "Am I under arrest?" "Explain what I'm detained for?"
"Not long after, a Twitter hashtag began titled, "#FreeHannibalBuress".
The video also shows Buress repeatedly asking the arresting officers what probable cause they had for cuffing him, though they remain quiet before eventually pushing him into the police vehicle.
Singapore Airlines Reroutes Flights Around North Korean Missile Paths
The BBC reported at least two other Seoul-bound South Korean aircraft traveling from the US reported witnessing the missile test. President Donald Trump has said that the United States would handle the North Korean situation, but did not specify details.
Buress then says to the officer, "Take the handcuffs off of me".
Cops told Buress he'd be arrested for trespassing. As one officer complains that he's being hard, Buress laughs and retorts to his partner: "He's just salty because I roasted his ass".
Miami Police did not respond to calls and an email requesting to release the report on Sunday.
Buress is now appearing alongside Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer on Comedy Central's Broad City.
