Wind chills also will be brutal today, according to the forecast, which calls for a high of 42 but wind chills between 12 and 22 degrees. Despite unlimited sunshine yesterday, highs only ranged from the middle teens in Litchfield County to the middle 20s along the I-95 corridor.

The winds will diminish through the night but temperatures will fall down to about 3 overnight. Thursday will be dry though with partly to mostly sunny skies again overhead.
