StarCraft II Is Going Free To Play Starting On November 14

Blizzard Entertainment announced Friday that its real-time strategy game StarCraft II will be free-to-play beginning November 14. That includes free access to the Wings of Liberty campaign (or Heart of the Swarm if players already own Wings of Liberty), cooperative mode and competitive multiplayer. Players will also enjoy expanded access to StarCraft II's highly popular co-op mode, with all Co-op Commanders playable for free.

Those looking to continue the StarCraft II story will be able to purchase Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and Nova Covert Ops, individually or together as part of a Campaign Collection in the Blizzard Shop.

Starting on November 14th, everyone can download StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty for free. Those with a desire for competition can unlock the ranked ladder for free simply by playing and winning games.
