'North Korea may attack Australia to divide U.S. allies'

Choi Sun Hee, the North America bureau chief of Pyongyang's foreign ministry, was seen at Vnukovo International Airport southwest of Moscow on Tuesday, Yonhap reported.

The ministry's Mikhail Ulyanov said the country was working "behind the scenes" to find a political solution, but admitted the use of sanctions against North Korea is nearly exhausted.

"Diplomacy is our preferred approach", Nauert told a regular briefing.

"Russia did not veto the recent United Nations sanctions resolutions on Pyongyang, showing that Moscow does share at least one aspect of the USA and the wider global community's perspective, namely that a response is required to North Korea's undesirable nuclear testing", Sarah Lain, Research Fellow at the U.K. -based think tank Rusi, wrote this week.

The United States and North Korea have been at loggerheads over Pyongyang's weapons and nuclear programs and Washington's military posture against the North. According to Dr Brad Roberts, former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defence for nuclear and missile defence policy has said that attacking Australia is a choice that North Korea leader Kim Jong-un would make, without anyone having a say in it.

Blast in London's Tower Hill Tube Station, several passengers injured
The explosion itself appears to have been rather small, especially given the photos we've seen posted on Twitter . According to details, the small explosion occurred inside a District Line train.

Other senior administration officials are more suspicious.

Most recently, the UNSC unanimously adopted a fresh sanctions resolution against the North earlier this month to condemn its latest nuclear test, which was staged September 3. In July, she met with Burmistrov when he visited North Korea.

The new UNSC resolution was supported by Moscow and also by Beijing, the North's largest communist ally.

Moscow said one of the solutions discussed in the meetings was "the Russian-Chinese roadmap for a Korean settlement".

But in the Korean Peninsula, Russia's increasing involvement is welcomed by one of the US key ally in the region, too.
