Writers, Academics Respond to Gauri Lankesh's Murder

Margherita Journalists Association has condemned the barbaric killing of Bangalore-based senior journalist Gauri Lankesh on Tuesday night by unidentified assailants.

Briefing reporters after chairing a meeting of senior police officials with Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy to take stock of the investigation, Siddaramaiah said he had told the police that the case should be taken "very seriously".

She demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should look into the matter and provide answers for the attacks. The guilty should be brought to book.
