There were no jackpot winners Wednesday night, so the Powerball is now up to an estimated $356 million. The winning numbers from the Tuesday, August 8, Mega Millions drawing were - 11 - 17 - 50 - 52 - 74 - and the Mega Ball number was 14.

Lottery players will have two shots at winning a huge jackpot this weekend.

The drawing for the whopping jackpot will be held on Friday and would be the largest since July 8, 2016.

The prizes are based on winners taking an annuity with the prize money being paid out over 29 years. The cash option for that jackpot rings up at $238.3 million.

Mega Millions, Powerball jackpots both above $300 million
On Tuesday, a Mega Millions drawing with a top prize of $346 million ($216 million cash option) will be up for grabs. For the second draw in a row, a ticket sold in New Jersey matched four numbers and the Powerball worth $50,000.

Because if you're going to dream of winning a lottery fortune, why not dream of winning two?

Strong ticket sales led to an increased drawing amount for both lottery games.

The combined jackpots for this week's Mega Millions and Powerball drawings stands at a combined annuity value of $738 million, according to Pennsylvania Lottery officials.

Powerball and Mega Millions are played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
