Israeli official: Netanyahu not forced to resign if indicted

The Supreme Court in Israel today (Monday) forced Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to reveal the dates of talks he held with Yissrael Hayom newspaper's owners، Sheldon Adelson and former editor Amos Regev، in a petition filed by journalist Raviv Drucker against the head of the Freedom of Information bureau in the Prime Minister's Office، as Arutz Sheva said.

Some 3,000 demonstrators gathered on Saturday night near the home of Israel's Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, to protest what they view as slow progress in the multiple corruption cases against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

There are now two investigations focused on the prime minister. On Friday, Ari Harow, Netanyahu's former chief of staff, agreed to provide testimonies against the Israeli Prime Minister in two separate long-running criminal investigations, Xinhua news agency reported.

Israeli police revealed last week that Netanyahu is suspected of crimes involving fraud, breach of trust and bribes. Germany postponed the submarine deal due to the investigation.

Harow reportedly gave investigators information regarding allegations that the premier unlawfully received gifts from wealthy supporters and sought a secret deal with top-selling daily Yediot Aharonot to scale down operations of rival publisher Israel Hayom. An indictment, which could still be months off, does not necessarily mean Netanyahu will step down, according to analysts and those familiar with Israeli law.

Hall of Fame Game: 8 facts you probably didn't know
Here are how the Cardinals and Cowboys used their last practices to prepare for the Hall of Fame Game . The Cardinals finished with a 7-8-1 record in 2016 after capturing the NFC West title in 2015.

Netanyahu has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and calls the accusations a witch hunt.

Harow was Netanyahu's chief of staff in 2008 when he was opposition leader.

Netanyahu said that he "does not comment on background noise, and is continuing to work on behalf of Israelis".

Tzachi Hanegbi, a Knesset member for Likud and a minister in the government, told Army Radio that any court ruling leading to Netanyahu's removal from office may take up to four years, and would come well after the next scheduled Israeli election in 2019.
