Fans Are Freaking Out About Taylor Swift's Blank Social Media Accounts

Brace yourselves. Taylor Swift is coming. However, it looks like things are about to change.

The pop star has wiped out her internet presence - her Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube and website have gone black.

While some say her accounts were hacked, fans and followers speculate the singer is gearing up to release new music-maybe even a new album!

The 1989 singer stepped away from her normal biannual album release cycle in 2016, and has been keeping a relatively low profile for more than half a year.

The move comes as Swift has reportedly been working on a new album, with buddy Ed Sheeran confidently suggesting her new record would drop by the end of this year.

She's causing a ruckus by vacating social media.

New music typically debuts on Friday at midnight, but given Swift's massive popularity, she doesn't need to follow any rules.

Naturally, Swift's legion of fans almost lost their minds over the sudden changes. "She's continuing down the pop route because "1989" was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album". The singer had posted hundreds of pictures from over the years including her at certain events and celebrating her Fourth of July party.

Taylor Swift had a "blank space, baby" across social media Friday - and Swifties couldn't get enough of it. As diehard Swifty fans know, 13 is her lucky number and she often incorporates it into her release dates, music and more.

A rep for Swift did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
