Fox News Dropping 'Fair & Balanced' Slogan After Two Decades

Fox News is dropping its famous slogan "Fair and Balanced" in an effort distance itself from workplace scandals that have plagued the network in recent years, NY magazine reports. The slogan was less a statement of intent - Fox News was from its inception a conservative network - and more a message to Americans who had grown wary of what they saw as liberal bias in mainstream media.

A Fox News spokesperson confirmed that the network would no longer be using the slogan, NY Mag reports, but said that it won't impact editorial decisions or its current programming.

Serious students of FNC may have noticed the network also hasn't much used its "We Report, You Decide" and "Most Powerful Name In News" tags much any more.

The decision to shed the "fair and balanced" slogan was made this past August following the dismissal of Fox News' late founder and chairman, Roger Ailes. "If you come out and you try to do right-wing news, you're gonna die".

No. 3 Halep faces unseeded Ostapenko in French Open final
"No doubt that Ostapenko, she's having a good run here, and she's risky ", said Pliskova, the runner-up at last year's U.S. I think more about the game, and I play smarter, in my opinion, and also physically. "Today, I just try to relax".

"There's a real difference between the news reporting and news gathering and the opinion shows - the sort of talk shows that occupy primetime and I think sort of get people excited", Murdoch said.

'He would say, "The news is like a ship. If you take hands off the wheel, it pulls hard to the left, '" as one senior producer puts it.

News of this shift comes just weeks after the network dismissed former host Bill O'Reilly, who was facing a series of sexual harassment allegations. It's grossly dishonest. I did what I thought I had to do to protect my family, but those days are over.

The veteran opinion maker said he was "target No. 1" for liberal activists seeking to silence voices they don't like. It's sad for my family.
