BJP-led NDA Presidential candidate to file nomination by June 23

The Election Commission issued a notification with respect to the way toward filling nominations which started today for the July 17 presidential elections.

Lok Sabha Secretary General Anoop Mishra, the Returning Officer for the election, issued the notification that nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or any of their proposers/seconders not later than June 28. The also said the NDA candidate is likely to file the nomination papers on June 23. The vote count will be on July 20, four days before incumbent Pranab Mukherjee's term ends.

The decision NDA and a freely weave collection of opposition parties have increased endeavors to focus in on a "mutually acceptable" presidential applicant.

Now, a candidate who is supported by 50 "electors" and seconded by another 50 can file nomination.

Leaders of opposition parties are meeting this evening to chalk out their joint strategy and come up with a consensus candidate.

Democrats initiated the process for Trump's impeachment
However, as to Obstruction of Justice and 18 USC § 1512 (b)(3), the evidence we have is sufficient to move forward now. A push for impeachment by California Democratic Representative Brad Sherman was censured during the meeting.

The President is elected by an Electoral College consists of the elected members of both Houses of Parliament and the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of all the States and Union Territories. For example, each Uttar Pradesh legislator's vote has a value of 208, while the value of votes from their counterparts in Arunachal Pradesh is just 8.

As many as 21 AAP MLAs are also eligible to vote. BJP President Amit Shah has constituted a three-member-panel- Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union minister M. Venkaiah Naidu- to talk with the Opposition parties to finalise a consensus candidate for country's next President.

He said the NDA at present had 54 percent of the total votes in its favour and suggested more parties were "ready to cooperate" with the BJP, taking the tally of votes to 65 percent.

The Opposition parties, led by Congress, are reportedly mulling fielding the likes of former West Bengal governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi and former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar for the top job. Meanwhile, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday forwarded senior party leader LK Advani's name to the committee to be considered for the post of President.
