Trump lawyers push back against Russia ties in letter

Asked whether they believed the intelligence community's January assessment that Russian Federation was responsible for hacking and leaking information to influence the elections was accurate, all six spy and law enforcement bosses appearing before the panel said "yes".

Chairman Sen. Richard Burr, R-North Carolina, and Vice Chairman Sen.

Politico reports that Flynn's attorneys told the committee that the former general would not cooperate with the investigation unless he was granted immunity.

Earlier this week CNN reported that grand jury subpoenas were issued to several of Flynn's business associates. Flynn has reportedly offered to testify in the probe into ties between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation in exchange for immunity from prosecution.

President Trump fired Flynn in February after he misled Vice President Mike Pence about his discussion with the Russian ambassador to the USA during the transition. Flynn is being investigated for taking lobbying payments as a foreign agent while working on Trump's campaign and transition team.

Kelly Clarkson joining 'The Voice' as coach for 14th season
She'll sit in one of the panel's spinning chairs alongside Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, plus one more still unnamed judge. Clarkson will be taking part in the 14th season of the show which is scheduled to air in the spring of 2018.

The subpoena also comes as Senate investigators have aggressively moved on their probe after months of groundwork, and just a few days after now-former FBI Director James Comey alerted the leaders of the intelligence panel the FBI was ramping up its own investigation.

The White House said he misled Vice President Mike Pence and other top officials about his communications with Russia's ambassador to the United States.

Flynn's contacts with the Russian government are also being examined by the FBI's investigation of possible links between Trump campaign officials and Russian meddling in the elections.

Republican Senate intelligence committee member Senator James Lankford told Fox News Wednesday that the subpoena is for "a large number of documents".
