The one gift Prince Charles reportedly never gave Diana

HBO and ITV have boarded a new documentary about Princess Diana, which will celebrate the life and work of the Princess of Wales in the 20 year since her tragic death.

In addition to William and Harry, the documentary will also feature many other figures in the Diana's life, some of whom have never spoken publicly about their relationship with the Princess of Wales before, and new archival footage.

ITV has said its film, which will be broadcast later in the year, will offer William and Harry's perspective on their mother's unique contribution to public life, including her charitable and humanitarian work.

While no premiere date has been set for the new film produced by Oxford Film and television for ITV in the United Kingdom, it is expected to release later this year.

The film's Executive Producer said: "This film will show Princess Diana in a way she has never been seen before, through the eyes of the two people who knew her best". The beloved Princess of Wales died on August 31, 1997, as the result of a fatal vehicle crash in Paris.

In another interview, Prince Harry said he went through two years of "total chaos" after he shut down his emotions for nearly 20 years after losing his mother, despite his brother's insistence that he sought help. William was just 15 and Harry 12 when she died.

In his interview, Wharfe says he believes "Diana, in my view, would have been alive today" if she had not given up her security detail following her divorce from Prince Charles.
