Miley Cyrus transforms anew with lo-fi ballad

We get it in "Malibu", a new single and video that allow Miley to frolic in fields of tall grass for the first time since 2009's "Hannah Montana: The Movie".

Miley's "Malibu" single, which is dedicated to her fiancé Liam Hemsworth, is the first taste of what fans can expect to hear from her as-yet-untitled album, due out later this year.

"You know what I like about the way she looks [now?] Happy", Billy Ray, 55, gushed while speaking to "Entertainment Tonight " s" Nancy O'Dell. "So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, 'This is how I feel?'" Miley told Billboard.

Malibu's lyrics seem to revolve around her love with Liam Hemsworth and the song takes on a romantic, fun flirty vibe.

While we're becoming more and more enamored with Noah Cyrus, her veteran sister, Miley, is still churning out low-key hits. "I was trying not to sing out loud because someone else was in the vehicle", she said.

"Cyrus laughed listening to the line and quipped, "[I was] always a little controversial, from the beginning".

New York Met With 2017 NBA Draft Prospect De'Aaron Fox
If they are fortunate enough to keep it, Fox could certainly be in play as a fast, defensive-minded point guard the team lacks. Fultz averaged 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game as Washington's starting point guard this past season.

Miley sings, "But here I am, next to you, The sky's more blue in Malibu".

Gone are the days of Bangerz (Cyrus doesn't stick her tongue out once in the vid).

Maybe it was a late rebellious teenage phase or, maybe, Miley has a mind of herself and mainstream is just not her thing, who knows?

Miley Cyrus is "firing off all cylinders" since quitting marijuana, according to her dad.

After taking a brief break, the two superstars are back together and more in love than ever, but the singer admits their reconciliation wasn't necessarily easy. She's clearly living her best life.
