Ceremony honors OH peace officers killed in line of duty

To conclude the ceremony, attendees will recognize the local law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in Cabarrus County and their families at the Cabarrus County Law Enforcement Memorial, just outside the Government Center.

New police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick presided Wednesday over her first memorial ceremony for Oakland officers killed in the line of duty, telling those in attendance "the courage and dedication of these officers and all who serve is gratefully appreciated".

Bradley, who was appointed chaplain of the Niagara Falls Police Department in 1998, is a founding member of Niagara Interfaith Chaplaincy, the organization that sponsors the annual police memorial.

Alaska's Police Memorial Week will begin this Friday May 5.

"This is always a time for heartfelt remembrance - but this week brought yet another stark reminder of the grieving that we experienced each and every time that we lose an officer".
