Apple might reveal a new iPad next month

A Boy Genius Report Wednesday showed a leaked screenshot, supposedly of an inventory list for Urban Armor Gear iPad Pro cases.

While these kinds of leaks about cases and whatnot are a dime a dozen, and nothing new when it comes to revealing unannounced technology and products - but the fact that UAG, a leading case maker, is putting it's support behind a merely rumoured iPad Pro suggests that Apple may not wait until the fall to revamp the most powerful version of their flagship tablet.

Even though the cases of 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be available by June, Apple is not selling a tablet of that size. It's rumored the iPad will have slimmer bezels, especially on the top and bottom to keep the dimensions closer to that of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. It also means that the new iPad Pro will have much smaller screen bezels than we have right now. Some enthusiasts are positive that Apple will launch the new gadgets at its Worldwide Developers Conference, which is slated for June 5 to 9 in California.

Rumor has it that the upcoming device will be released in 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch variants.

Apple might be planning to challenge Microsoft's Surface tab with a redesigned iPad.

Touch Bar: One of the major features of the new iPad is expected to be a secondary Touch Bar display, just like one on the MacBook Pro 2016 model. Other rumors suggest that Apple will eliminate the home button on the tablet and that the Touch ID scanner will be embedded in the screen of the tablet. The design of the new tablet is expected to remain the same as the existing models.

It's not trivial to shrink the manufacturing process and several reports in 2016 said Apple, or rather chip manufacturer TSMC was struggling to get good yields. Apple may either have to embed it under the screen and place it on the backside of the tablet. The snapshot carries a vital clue on when the heavily rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro would be launching.
