Tekken 7 on the Switch? Fat chance, says producer Harada

When it arrives, it'll come minus Roger Jr-the boxing kangaroo who replaced his similarly disciplined reptilian family friend Alex from Tekken 5 onward. "People were complaining about him punching a kangaroo" said Harada.

Tekken 7 will be the first entry in the fighting series for a while when it comes out in June, but producer Katsuhiro Harada has revealed via an interview with VG247 that one famous character won't be returning: Roger the Kangaroo.

Harada also said that the team knows that not every character can be included in "Tekken 7", and encouraged people to try the other characters, especially the new ones.

Though Tekken 7 is due to release in the West in June; it has been out in Japan for almost two years.

Sebastian Vettel leads Ferrari one-two at practice - Russian Grand Prix
The next best vehicle was a huge 1.4s off Vettel, with Max Verstappen taking best-of-the-rest honours for Red Bull. Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton were third and fourth.

According to Harada, the reasoning for all this is due to "animal activists" and the increasing sensitivity is something the developers over at Bandai Namco have noticed over the years. As Harada (rightly) points out, the folks lobbying these complaints would likely never even play a Tekken game yet they still want the game altered to suit their specific agenda.

Meanwhile, Kuma the bear, will remain in the game because a bear is "obviously stronger than a human being".

If I may point out, so is a kangaroo in real life. But kangaroos can land some pretty nasty kicks that could kill a person too.

Check out Tekken 7's latest trailer below, then look forward to getting embroiled in the Mishima Saga once more when the game launches on 2nd June 2017.
