Let us know what you think about the Nvidia Titan Xp and whether or not you are interested in getting one of these beasts. This comes despite the fact that Apple hasn't sold a Mac Pro that can officially accept a PCIe video card in nearly half a decade. Nvidia is promising the drivers this month. For example, the $700 GTX 1080 Ti has similar performance to last year's $1,000 Titan X, while the $500 GTX 1080 can be purchased for about the same price as the lesser 980 Ti. The only Apple-approved machines capable of fitting any modern Nvidia card were the Westmere towers of yesteryear, which incidentally are also the last desktop devices Apply put on the market. Macworld suggests that this could very well be a future addition to the Mac Pro desktops.
The new card is pretty much exactly what one might expect.
Right now, nearly all MacBooks run on integrated GPUs which defy all upgrades, though the 2014 MacBook Pro did have an Nvidia Kepler GPU handling the graphical end of things. The Nvidia Titan Xp is sure to appeal to hardcore gamers who want 4K or 8K resolution running at outrageous refresh rates.
Griezmann to lead Atletico against Real Madrid in derby
The giants of the Spanish capital go head to head on Saturday as Real Madrid host Atletico Madrid at the iconic Bernabeu. We're on top of it and we hope that both stay on four yellow cards until the end of the season.
In other Nvidia-related news, the company also announced that it's now working on beta Mac drivers for its 10-series GPUs, which should bode well for eGPU users and those looking to build a hackintosh. On tap is 12 TFLOPS of processing power, enough for Nvidia to term the new XP as the most powerful graphics card the world has ever seen.
In previous generations, NVIDIA's Titan graphics cards would represent the company's unequivocal best graphics cards for gaming. Given how the whole endeavor is essentially unsupported from the Appel side of matters, this may make for a bumpy ride at the start.
Nvidia could also be hinting that it expects to take AMD's slice of the Apple market when Apple refreshes the Mac Pro.
