April the Giraffe FINALLY Gives Birth!!!

A giraffe named April who lives at the Animal Adventure Park in NY finally gave birth to her fourth child.

Her fans had been eagerly awaiting for the baby throughout its 15-month gestation in the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, in NY state.

Jordan Patch of the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY posted a video on Facebook Saturday morning telling everyone to 'cancel your plans....we are in labor'. The proud father is a 5-year-old giraffe named Oliver, who took no part in the delivery and is destined by nature to be a deadbeat dad.

After a 16-month gestation period, the wait finally ended with the male calf's debut in a livestream from the zoo.

More than 1.2 million viewers watched the birth in real time thanks to Animal Adventure's livestream.

The 15-year-old giraffe delivered her calf Saturday in an enclosed pen at the zoo in Harpursville, a rural upstate village about 130 miles (209 kilometers) northwest of New York City. Since then, millions of viewers from around the globe have been anxiously checking in to witness the miracle of life.

Haydu said in the statement that the location of the fire made access hard but it was knocked down in under an hour. The portion of the building that was on fire was the roof over the south entrance to the Bellagio shops.

The privately owned zoo began livestreaming from April's enclosure in February. The longneck has her own Twitter account and website, and has managed to raise $125,000 (118,000 euros) on her GoFundMe fundraiser page, which is meant to be used for the care of the animals.

Its gender was not yet known, and its name will be determined through a competition run by the park.

Since February, the live feed provided by AAP attracted millions across the US and in many parts of the world.

No other details on the calf were announced, but they usually weigh around 150 pounds (68.04 kilograms) and are about 6 feet (1.83 meters) tall at birth.

The park is now closed to the public and will open in mid-May.
