
The 82nd Academy awards will air live tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST or 5:00 p.m. in Pacific time. The 2010 Oscars will take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, in Los Angeles California. Usually it was scheduled every last week of February but because of te 2010 Winter Olympics it was moved today, March 7. If ever you’re located outside the U.S., international broadcasters are set to provide the full telecast of this year’s Academy Awards. Actors Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin who were seen together in the film “It’s Complicated” will host this prestigious ceremony.
“Avatar” and “The Hurt Locker” leads the 2010 Oscars with 9 nominations. Not only that it has the most number of nominations but also because of the directors. Avatar director James Cameron will face his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow who is the director of “The Hurt Locker” will make Oscar history when they become the first previously married couple to go up against one another in both the best director and best picture categories.
