One of the most-awaited events this New Years day is the Tournament of Roses Parade or known as Rose Parade. It is a festival of flowers, equestrians, music, and a college football game.
Beautiful, artistic, and creative floats are very interesting to watch. They symbolize creativity of man and it shows something significant to the people. And here are the winners for the 2009 Rose Parade:
- The 2009 Animation Trophy – “Mechanical Melodies” sponsored by LaCanada Flintridg
- The 2009 Craftsman Trophy (over 55 in length) – “Family Outing“ sponsored by Farmers Insurance Group and built by Phoenix Decorating Company
- The 2009 Crown City Innovation Trophy – “Entertaining Our Imaginations” sponsored by Western Asset and built by Phoenix Decorating Company\
- The 2009 Directors’ Trophy – “Hope Grows” sponsored by Vera Bradley and built by Festival Artists
- The 2009 Extraordinaire Trophy - “Jack-O-Licious” sponsored by Jack in the Box and built by Festival Artists
